Staff - The Audiology Team

Kelly Spiller, Au.D., CCC/A

Dr. Spiller graduated with a B.S. in Speech Pathology and an M.S. in Audiology, both from Central Missouri State University. She holds the ACE award from ASHA for having earned more continuing education hours than required, three years consecutively. After being a speech clinician for a semester in college, Dr. Spiller knew that she enjoyed the hearing component within her degree, thus choosing audiology for her Master's focus.

Dr. Spiller enjoys the patient/provider interactions with her work. "I enjoy helping someone hear instantly who hasn't heard in a long time," said Spiller.

The testing Dr. Spiller performs with MABI, the inner ear testing, is an important component of understanding dizzy problems. "The patient typically will need the VNG to better evaluate his/her organ of balance, called the vestibular system. The VNG can be an intimidating test, but with a lot of patience and compassion we can make it as comfortable as possible. The information we gain from the test is important in the diagnostic process," said Spiller.

In her free time, Dr. Spiller likes spending time with her three small girls, and reading, learning, and hiking.
